The Mr Maybes.

Meet Mr Je Nais Se Quois -

He’s the one who makes your heart squeeze in excitement.

His random, out-of-the-blue phone calls never fail to make your heart skip a beat and paint a smile on your face.

He’s got this je nais se quois about him that never fails, till today, to make you wish you could just be embraced by him.

Now, say hello to Mr Perfect -

Handsome. Sweet. Absolutely gentlemanly.

Steadfast. Faithful. Hopeless romantic.

Intelligent. Intellectual. And did i mention handsome?

And he can sing. Oh can he sing.

Lastly, please meet Mr Confidante -

He is one of your closest friends.

He never fails to be there for you when you need him.

You know he’d lay down his life for you.

He does the sweetest things for you that show you mean the world to him.

And he’s a complete sweetheart to your friends too.

Cute. Smart. And so damn witty he cracks you up like a whip.

All these just got me thinking – I wonder what it’d be like if i had taken that step to develop something further with them.

Perhaps love would be wonderful.

And happy.

And would leave little to be desired.

Perhaps love would not be such a idealistic concept.

BUT

I put all 3 of them into the context of reality and realised this -

Love IS an idealistic concept.

As lovely are they are, put into the context of reality… They’d all be reduced to being just boyfriends.

Boyfriends that piss you off.

Boyfriends that get emo.

Boyfriends that are insensitive.

Boyfriends are things that essentially create a whole new set of problems for you because now you have to be responsible for someone else’s feelings.

Love. *snorts*

I SMITE THEE!

No, i did not have a fight or anything. It’s just something i believe. Yes, my life is a contradiction.
